Cpl and RIG both realise that its people who make a business, whether that’s our clients or our candidates or of course our own staff, so on Friday 20th April the management team at RIG headed over to Dublin for the annual Cpl party and awards.
The evening started with an address from Cpl Founder and CEO, Anne Heraty who gave an overview of the previous year including the business successes citing RIG for being a key part in this, the charity fundraising that has taken place and the new internal initiatives to empower self-belief and confidence for everyone in the workplace, unsurprisingly Cpl is listed as a Great Place to Work for the third year in a row!
Running alongside RIG and Cpl’s core values, Anne also spoke about ‘Courage’. Courage to be customer focused, accountable, respectful, communicate effectively and empower ourselves and others.
The evening then moved on to the recognition awards ceremony which again was in line with the core values of Cpl. Our own CEO, Affi Khan presented the award for ‘Most respected colleague’ as nominated by their peers.
Following this our newly promoted Sales Director Murat Mustafa received the ‘RIG recognition award’ also nominated by his fellow colleagues, he quoted:
“I would like to thank Cpl for inviting the RIG team to be part of the event. It was a great opportunity to meet so many people within the business and truly be a part of the overall vision and future enabling RIG to grow alongside Cpl.
The evening was a true success and it is great to be part of a group that truly values its employees. It was an honour to receive this award, one I was not expecting; however, I feel very privileged to have received it.”
Post awards there was plenty of fun to be had with many games to play such as Pool, Chess, ‘Selfie’ Mirrors, Car Karaoke, Table Football, Wind Tunnels and a fab game of Limbo in the latter part of the night all topped off with a great band and cool DJ. Lots of networking, fun and dancing was had into the early hours to reward all our hard-working staff for the successes of the past 12 months. Our esteemed Managing Director, Rob Bryan, unfortunately did not come anywhere near winning the limbo competition but has vowed to practice and challenge again next year!
New Business Manager for the Therapy Team, Joe James had this to say on the event.
“It was great to visit Dublin and meet our colleagues across the Cpl business face to face, the amount and variety of skills in the room was amazing. As a Recruiter at RIG for some time it was fantastic to see my long-term colleague and Line Manager Murat recognised in front of the wider group. Cpl value the long service of their teams so much, to see the list of those who have been with the group for such a long time was brilliant. The welcome from all those in Dublin was warm and we were made to feel at home straight away, it was great chance to enjoy everyone’s success.”
